Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) Course
This 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course is aimed to give you the knowledge and vital life-saving skills so you will be able to look after anyone in your workplace that may suffer an injury or illness. This first aid course is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low-risk working environments, such as small offices.
This emergency first aid course is delivered in a classroom setting and offers a practical, hands-on approach that delivers the skills and confidence to use first aid skills in a real-life situation in which our courses meet and exceed the HSE's criteria for what is expected of training providers. For added reassurance, each learner is assessed throughout the course by one of our highly experienced and qualified trainers.
AEDs in the workplace are becoming more commonplace within businesses. With around 13% of workplace deaths being due to the victim suffering from a cardiac arrest, it is surprising how few businesses provide this vital life-saving piece of equipment. - Incident Management
- Respiratory Disorders
- CPR only (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
- CPR & AED (defibrillator) use
- Circulatory System
- Unconsciousness
- Wounds & Bleeding
- Head Injuries & Hypoxia
- Shock
- Airway & Breathing
- Spinal Injuries
On successful completion of the emergency first aid at work course, each delegate will receive a certificate which will be valid for 3 years. We strongly recommend annual refresher training.
