First Aid at Work for Railway Personnel Course
Our First Aid at Work for Railway Personnel course has been developed specifically for those who work on the railways and who require the knowledge and skills to be able to deal with an emergency.
Railways can be extremely dangerous places to work in and also can be remote and sometimes be inaccessible for emergency services. The new approved code of practice (ACOP) First Aid Risk Assessment (NR/L2/OHS/00110_F01) identifies the provision required before any work is carried out.
First aid cover is a legal requirement for all workplaces. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities, and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This first aid course is especially suited for nominated first aiders in medium or large, high risk working environments, such as construction sites.
Our 3 day First Aid at Work for Railway Personnel course gives learners the vital skills necessary to diagnose and treat injuries or illness, with an emphasis on dealing with life-threatening situations until professional help arrives.
